Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Geogrid

The self-adhesive fiberglass geogrid combines a high-modulus glass fiber mesh with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, allowing the grid to be rolled out directly onto the existing pavement surface and stay firmly in place during paving. Tensile strength ranges from 30 kN/m to 80 kN/m with elongation of no more than 4%, delivering the same reinforcement performance as standard fiberglass geogrid — but substantially faster to install.

The integrated adhesive layer eliminates or greatly reduces tack coat spraying in many applications, cutting material cost and speeding up daily production. Crews typically achieve 30–50% faster placement compared with non-adhesive grid, which is decisive for municipal road repair and highway maintenance programs working under short traffic closure windows.

During paving, the adhesive bonds the mesh to the old surface so it cannot shift or wrinkle under paver traffic, ensuring uniform embedment in the new asphalt layer. The result is reliable resistance to reflective cracking, rutting and layer slippage on city streets, parking lots, airport pavements, bridge deck overlays and highway maintenance works.

Standard specifications include 12.7 mm and 25.4 mm mesh sizes, roll widths of 1.0–2.0 m and elongation ≤ 4%, tested to ASTM D6637 and JTG E50. Weather-resistant adhesive formulations maintain bonding performance across tropical and cold-region climates.
